So no, I haven't managed to disentangle. And yes, no matter how disturbed I become about the subject of the minute, after a few days, or at most a week, I generally get over it. It's his consistency that fuels my amnesia. It is always as if nothing had changed. And, in a world where there is nothing dependable aside from a mother's love, one cannot help but find comfort in this incredible consistency.

Hi, and wow. Boyfriend troubles. I have a best friend who has a boyfriend who she loves one minute and hates the next. They break up all the time and no matter how many times she says "I'm not going back to him, I mean it this time!" she always goes back. I hate his guts but she likes him. So I'm trying to find a way so they break up for good because he's bad news. I hope the guy you have trouble with isn't a dumbnut like my friends bf. Good luck with your "disentangledment".
