Shocked

There were many women in the washroom of the ferry; many were doing their hair. By "doing their hair," I do not mean a cursory glance in the mirror and then repositioning a wayward lock, but rather *doing*... with combs, brushes, flat irons, curling irons, &c. One woman's curls were so set that what would probably be described as the action of "tousling" actually emitted a coppery, scratching noise. I am not in Tofino anymore... and I haven't even made it all the way across the water yet.
